We took a day trip to colonial Williamsburg while staying with Heather and Josh. Everything there has been recreated in the style of the colonists, so that even the hinges and nails used in the houses are forged by the blacksmith. It was really neat to get a sense of colonial life, but the most amazing part to me was looking at books of Williamsburg before it had been redone. It was just a junky little town until someone decided that it had real potential, and now it's beautiful and serene.
Brooklyn and Josiah took part in colonial brick making by stamping the clay with their feet.
