Our precious girl is 10 weeks old today. I was looking back at some photos from her first month, and I can't believe how much she has changed. Natalie had her 2-month appointment on the Friday before Thanksgiving, and while her weight indicates she's still pretty little (10lb, 5 oz: 40th percentile), her height puts her in the 87th percentile. She got her first set of shots that day, and Taylor and I were significantly more anxious than she was. However, she was truly a champ. She screamed as they were given but calmed immediately when I picked her up and cuddled her. She slept most of the rest of the day, although you could tell she didn't feel well when she was awake. Thankfully, by the next day she was back to herself.
This birthmark just keeps getting redder! The pediatrician loved it so much that she took a picture and called in her colleague, who also took a picture. Neither of them had ever seen one like it.
Happy Thanksgiving! We had Tim, Chelsea, and Luis over for a small dinner. Well, the group was small, but we sure had a lot of food. Love those leftovers.
Staring at Mom.
Smiling at Dad.
Discovering Hallie.
Natalie has started to do something really fun: "conversing" with Mom and Dad! She looks intently at us and makes some kind of cooing or gurgling sound. We smile and make another sound, and she often imitates us. She usually does this for about 10 minutes at a time. It is so fun to watch her get such a kick out of our reactions.
Sometimes you have to be creative to get your exercise in.
It's that time of year...

I LOVE the birthmark! It's like an awesome, built-in tattoo :)
Thanks so much for your dedication to the updates of this blog. It makes us so much closer than the 2631.3 miles that we are separated by!
