This is the San Xavier Mission, at which we stopped on our way home from Nogales. The mission was first established by Jesuit missionaries in the mid-1600s, but the building you see here was constructed about in the 1780s. As you can see, renovations are ongoing. Indian tribes still live nearby on reservations.
