On Saturday, August 19, Taylor and I woke up early (6am!) to beat the heat and go hiking. A new friend from Wheaton, who is a Tucson native, organized this. True story...Taylor and I were in Target one evening when Taylor suddenly points to a guy and yells, "Hey! He went to Wheaton!" and then runs over to meet him! We introduced ourselves, and sure enough, he graduated from Wheaton a year before we did. One week later, Mike invited us to go hiking with him, another 2005 Wheaton grad named Lindsay, and Mike's classmate, Andy, from the U of Arizona law school. We hiked for about four hours through Reddington Pass in the Rincon Mountains and had lunch afterward. We are so thankful for "coincidences" like that night in Target - we had a great time with our new friends!
